I was born in Rochester NY where i studied at R.I.T and the University of Rochester. I’ve lived in Hawaii ( USMC ), San Francisco, Berkeley, Petaluma, Santa Rosa, and Corvallis. I’ve worked at several places mostly with some sort of software or even hardware tech. These include some very ancient and large computers such as the CDC 6600’s, and unices and vaxen. For software I have worked as a Database Admin in the use of Oracle and Informix, and have programmed in their languages. While working at Lawrence Berkeley Lab ( above the campus area) i was in the consulting department working with scientists, either helping with their job control (IBM 360), or usually Fortran.
